Dean Felton Media
About Dean

After launching his career in Brisbane with ABC TV and
built a 12-year career, reporting, producing, and presenting
the top-rating National Nine News.

Dean covered some of Queensland’s biggest news stories,
including the 1982 Commonwealth Games, several Royal and
Papal tours, the landmark Fitzgerald Police Corruption
Inquiry and the subsequent fall of the Bjelke-Petersen
state government.

At Nine, Dean also presented a series of nationally
televised documentaries, and reported from overseas
assignments in Papua New Guinea.

The Seven Network then offered Dean a position as
presenter/reporter in its Melbourne newsroom, where he
worked for four years, covering everything from politics
and crime, to sport and the lighter side of life, including
the 1998 Commonwealth Games and even a political
uprising in Malaysia.

Dean later honed his skills as general manager of one of the
country's leading specialist public relations consultancies,
specialising in broadcast PR.  Here he conceived and
executed communication strategies for major global clients
including
McDonalds, Microsoft, Vivendi, BMW, American
Express, and Telstra.

In 2002, Dean was recruited to head the Media & Public
Affairs division of a major hospital network in Melbourne.
With public healthcare a favourite media target, this
position demanded high-level crisis management skills, as
well as the ability to effectively service the internal
communication needs of a 3000-strong workforce.

This varied 25-year career on both sides of the media fence
has given Dean an unparalleled perspective of top level
communication techniques. Now...  why not let your
business take advantage of it?
